In the studio I give you a glimpse behind the scenes and show you what goes into creating my artworks.
The art studio is focused on diverse handmade techniques. Sqeleton Studio was founded in 2018 and was marked by lasercut wooden wall art pieces. After a few years Shivonne discovered a new passion: soft materials that respond differently to touch and sight. With these materials she was able to create soft and, sometimes, functional art pieces with a deeper meaning.
Each artwork is unique and requires its own approach. Generally, the hard artworks are laser cut or made with epoxy resin and the soft artworks are hand-tufted and all finished by hand with a premium backing.
It is an intricate process where passion, precision and dedication are essential. Each handwriting is unique and needs its own research first. This generates unpredictable shapes and results in new dimensions.
